Wine Description:
Adelsheim purchased its first vineyard property in the Chehalem Mountains in 1971 and built the region's first winery in 1978. Breaking Ground celebrates Adelsheim's commitment to the Chehalem Mountains, and is made entirely from LIVE-certified fruit grown in the three major soil types found here.
Tasting Note:
Lovely aromas of fresh boysenberry, grated nutmeg, and crushed rose petal lift out of the glass, framed with notes of loam and black peppercorns. The balance of this wine is impeccable, calmly walking a tightrope of tension and plushness. The fine-grained tannins bring fi nesse and elegance to the finish.
